Many people install and use WinRescue XP on a computer that does not have a diskette drive.
We have XP Recovery CD Maker which can be used to make a boot CD in place of the boot diskette.

Would I be able to make a boot CD using XP Recovery CD Maker?
- I do not have a retail copy of Windows XP. What I have
is a Recovery CD provided by the vendor (HP).
- I do have a I386 folder within C:\WINDOWS

Thanks again.

If you have an i386 folder in the Windows folder (the i386 folders in subfolders of Windows do not count), it should work.
A Recovery CD will not help unless it has the i386 folder in it.  If it does or you have the WinXP CD (I know you don't but I am saying this for everyone else) and you do not have the above mentioned i386 folder in Windows, you can copy the i386 folder from the CD to Windows directory.
The best way to find out if you can make an XP Recovery CD is to download the trial version and make one.  If you don't get errors during the burn of the CD, it worked.
