Most of my programs go to the top and to the right of the screen.  Especially Windows Media Player.  It will go to the right of the screen so far that it disappears.  I can grab it with my mouse with a lot of patience and time.  I have to click on the blue bar just right and then drag it to where I can click on the maximize box on the top right.  It will then correct itself.  After that it will stay correct when I turn my compurter on for a while then it (maybe a week or so). Then the same thing over again.  All other programs go to the right but do not disappear.

   Windows Media Player remembers the last place it was on the screen when it was closed.  It will then open at that place the next time.
   Maybe something is happening where Media Player gets opened without your knowledge off screen or something like that.
