Have you ever noticed the over-reaction atheists have towards Christians? They excuse militant Muslims who murder thousands of innocent Americans, but an eight-year-old girl with a Bible in school, watch out, she is America's public enemy number one.
Why the extreme behavior? What are atheists so upset about? Psalm 2 asks the same question.
Why do the heathen nations rage and the people consider useless things? The kings of the earth take their stand and the elite gather together against God and His Anointed King. They say, "Let's break Their cuffs off and remove Their chains." He that sits on heaven's throne laughs. The Master makes fun of them. Then in anger He speaks to them and scares them with His fierceness, saying, "I have anointed my King on Zion, my sacred hill in Jerusalem." His King will announce God's decree: "God said to me, 'You are my son. Today I have given birth to you. Ask me and I will make the heathen nations your inheritance and the remote places on earth your property. You will punish them with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots.'" Kings, understand God now. Judges of the earth, accept God's discipline. Serve God in fear and be happy with trembling. Kiss the Son so that He won't be angry and you won't be destroyed on the road, for His anger can flare up in a moment. All who run to Him for protection are blessed. What are atheists so upset about? Could it be that deep down inside they know the above scenario is true? God does exist and He is in control. Do they think that if they are successful in getting rid of Christians and their message that God and His Anointed King will somehow disappear? They will not.
God and His Son are real. Now is the time to start living as if God is God and God's message to us is God's message to us. The Son will not always remain peaceful and hidden.
